Sonal Vij

About me

Welcome to my professional space! I am Sonal Vij, a seasoned producer, videographer, digital storyteller, and photographer with over ten years of rich experience. My journey in the world of multimedia has taken me across diverse landscapes and cultures, from the bustling streets of Delhi to the dynamic world of London's film industry. I bring a robust understanding of customer-centric design principles and excel in harnessing technology to create engaging and impactful user experiences. My work is not just about capturing moments; it's about telling stories that resonate and connect.

My career is a tapestry of varied experiences and achievements. I am particularly proud of my tenure as an Assistant Producer for "Only Love Matters" with KQ Movies in London, where my work contributed to the film's international acclaim, including over 30 awards. This role honed my skills in project management, logistics, and creative direction, allowing me to lead a talented 80-person production crew successfully. My commitment to excellence in multimedia production has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Global Talent Award for Photography and Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia University.

Education has always been a cornerstone of my professional development. I hold a Master of Science in Professional Media Practice & Management from Southern Illinois University, a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism & Communication Studies from Xavier Institute of Communications. My academic pursuits have not only enriched my knowledge but also allowed me to share this wealth as an instructor at Southern Illinois University. Here, I've taught various courses, ranging from photojournalism to media communication theory, igniting passion in the next generation of media professionals.

My skills extend beyond traditional filmmaking. As a multimedia, video, and audio content director, I've managed projects in the US, India, and the UK, blending photography, copywriting, and video production to create compelling narratives. Whether it's leading an in-house production department, curating content for global media outlets, or directing independent films, my approach is always innovative, adaptive, and audience-focused. I thrive in fast-paced environments and am adept at turning creative concepts into reality, ensuring every project I touch resonates with its intended audience.
